"Harpinder's approach to cultivating a relationship with yoga is comprehensive and encompasses so many aspects of yoga that I was not even aware of until I began working with her. Her sessions incorporate readings from the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, discussions on those readings; and education on all 8 limbs of yogic practice including meditative work, pranayama and asana. I loved the very intimate one on one nature of our sessions. You can feel that Harpinder sincerely cares for all her clients. She has the capacity to hold so much space and support. "10/10 recommend working with Harpinder. I had always wanted to take yoga classes, but struggled for years to find a non-white practitioner/a class that didn’t feel like it was culturally appropriating. That changed when I was connected with Harpinder.
I began taking private classes with Harpinder during the first trimester of my first pregnancy. We worked together weekly until my delivery date. Each class began with a check-in, where Harpinder made space for whatever I needed to bring to the table that day—chronic pain, anxiety, stress, exhaustion. Once we checked in, she would approach each class tailored to what I needed/could manage that day. As my pregnancy advanced, she altered asana practice to meet the needs of my changing body. She also helped me learn various breath techniques for labor.
Aside from the more “practical” aspects of classes, Harpinder created such a calm and gentle space. It felt like she was so grounded in her own spirituality, that it so easily flowed into her work. It didn’t feel forced in any way—I felt very connected to each class.
No matter where I was at, I never felt judged. I really felt like there was space to bring my whole self to the table. Especially during the ups and downs of pregnancy, I was able to be vulnerable and share the lows and the highs with Harpinder—and she adjusted each session to meet me where I was at.
I absolutely recommend working with Harpinder. I’m so grateful I found her and was able to work with her during such an important moment in my life. I hope to be able to work with her again as soon as I have a little more consistency in my life.
